LILONGWE (MalawiTalk) –Public Secondary school teachers have registered their own union called Secondary School Teachers Union.

This is according to interim President of the union, Mr Pilirani Kapolo.

Kapolo said that Secondary School Teachers Union is a break away from Teachers Union of Malawi (TUM),  accusing the TUM leadership of lack of transparency on the use of monthly financial contributions and ignoring the welfare of secondary school teachers and students since its establishment.
