LILONGWE (MalawiTalk) – A senior official of the presidential taskforce on Covid-19 says the government has launched an investigation into reports that Blantyre District Health office made special arrangements to provide vaccine to Indians.

Mrs Khumbize Chiponda, co-chair of the taskforce and minister of Health said this on Monday, after she toured  the roll out of the vaccine to social workers at Bingu National Stadium.

Chiponda said the vaccine is not yet allowed to be administered in private hospitals therefore what Blantyre DHO planned to do is wrong.
