KARONGA (MalawiTalk)-Alliance for Democracy (Aford) Victory Queens charity established last year to help the needy in society has donated materials and money to the elderly in Mangwe Village in Paramount Chief Kyungu in Karonga.
Aford Victory Queens matron Tadala Chihana said:“Every month we identify a district to reach out to.
“This month we were supposed to be in Chikwawa, but we got an urgent call to come to Karonga.”
A beneficiary, Ephraim Kamwambi, 89, thanked the group for the donation.

“I struggle to get basic needs due to old age,” he said.
Mbande Area Development Committee chairperson Fwasani Silungwe commended the group for helping the elderly.
The items included mattresses, blankets, soap, cooking oil, sugar and salt.
