Nkuna - We need to ask some serious questions of ourselves

MZUZU – There are big problems at Moyale Barracks that even coach Collins Nkuna may struggle to turn around as he has pointed out that the squad’s attitude is all wrong.

Moyale’s miserable performance at the start of the league was branded as unacceptable by Nkuna following their back to back loses at the hands of Ntopwa and TN Stars respectively.

The Lions of Kaning’ina went down at home to wounded TN Stars who were coming from a defeat to new boys in the league, Ekwendeni Hammers.

After losing their league opener against Ntopwa by 3 goals to nil, Moyale was looking forward to use home ground advantage against the Kasungu based side but it was not meant to be as they were caught off guard when the visiting team through Gift Chunga took the lead in the opening minutes of the game which they implimanted after the restart when Chiletso Zoya banged home a second for his team when Moyale defenders were caught napping.

Getting the adrenalin going is one thing but sticking to plans and tactics and putting in the required effort are must-haves for players right now.

They are non-negotiable, and Moyale’s players simply aren’t producing it.

Said Nkuna: “This is our second game, we went to Blantyre we lost because of the same thing, the attitude is not right with the boys maybe they have something to say but they are failing to tell me so when we resume training I will sit down with them to map the way forward.”

Nkuna added that it’s not normal for a team of Moyale’s calibre to be losing against these teams.

Said he: “Now we need to go back to the drawing board and see what are the problems and how we can electify those problems because it’s not good for Moyale a big team to be losing to small teams like Ntopwa and TN Stars it’s very challenging and for me to see what it is the problem.”

The soldiers have now conceded 5 goals in 2 matches which is a cause for worry as they have only managed to put one behind the goalkeeper.

Their next assignment is against a common enemy, Mafco at Mzuzu stadium.
